New estimates show that the number of people living in absolute poverty (less than $1.25 a day, a commonly accepted poverty line) is falling in many parts of the world, achieving a Millennium Development Goal ahead of the 2015 deadline. 663 million people moved above the poverty line, but it doesn’t mean they live comfortable lives.
