Today in Busan, South Korea at the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness, Canada’s minister of international cooperation, Bev Oda, announced that the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has become a member of the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI).
IATI plans to have aid information accessible to the public, ensuring accountability on aid organizations as well as CIDA.
Cheers to all the Canadians who petitioned and made their voices heard, asking for responsible and transparent spending.
